The geopolitical rivalries among great powers have far-reaching strategic repercussions for conventional and unconventional security, notably for ASEAN. Nevertheless, the 55th ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (AMM) and related meetings were organised successfully and concluded with fruitful outcomes.
With such optimism and multilateralism on show, it is imperative to analyse how ASEAN and Cambodia, as ASEAN chair in 2022, defend and promote multilateralism, an effective mechanism for fostering international collaborations in tackling current regional and global issues.
