Dr. Chem Phalla is currently the Acting Executive Director of the Cambodia Development Resource Institute (CDRI). He is an Engineer in Hydrology, and an Expert in Water Resources Governance and Professional Training. From 2015 to 2019, he was the Director of Research at CDRI, as well as the Director and Co-Founder of their China Studies Centre. Dr. Phalla holds a PhD in Water Governance from the University of Sydney, and a Master in Engineering in Hydrology and Water Resources from the University of South Australia. He has extended experience in development policy research, think tank management, institutional development and professional training.
