Mr. An Sokkhoeurn, who joined Cambodia’s foreign ministry in 2006, is currently serving as Director General with a portfolio of Europe, America and Africa-Middle East Departments. Prior to the present position, he assumed incremental posts dealing with the UN, international organizations, Europe and America desks.

As a Fulbright Scholar (2009-2010), Sokkhoeurn earned M.A. in International Relations focusing on foreign policy and negotiations from Syracuse University (USA) in 2010. His research interests were Cambodia’s foreign policy, Cambodia-US relations, Sino-Cambodia ties and ASEAN.
